| Your child is seeing the world for the first time. |
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO SHOW HIM? A child's first school marks the beginning of a journey through which he will begin to understand the world.
At Escola Americana, your child will grow in a multicultural learning environment that values diversity, respect and individuality. |
|
|
| The first contact with the world. |
FROM EARLY ON, YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN IN A MULTICULTURAL SCHOOL. Escola Americana is more than a bilingual school. Both multidisciplinary and multilingual, the school is a dynamic and multicultural learning community.
Children from different cultures, many of them speaking different languages, are all welcome. Cultural diversity is one of our greatest assets. Our school creates global citizens. |

MULTI-AGE GROUPS: YOUR CHILD WILL GROW AMONG CHILDREN OF VARIOUS AGES. In the Preschool, groups of children from ages 2 to 6 have an opportunity for healthy and stimulating exchange of experiences, fundamental to the educational process.
Our teachers are passionate, caring and highly trained professionals. They observe individual learning styles closely and nurture each student's maximum potential. To assist the child in their learning, Escola Americana provides Student Support Services. Teachers, counselors and psychologists support students in handling the eventual challenges of school life. |

KNOW THE SCHOOL'S TEACHING PHILOSOPHY. At Escola Americana, your child learns by doing.
Beyond interacting with carefully selected classroom materials, the students reflect on, discuss, and draw their own conclusions, guided by the teachers. The more relevant an educational experience is to a child’s world, the more able they are to remember what they learn.
Parents actively participate in their children's school life and have the ongoing support of Escola Americana in the challenging process of educating their children. After all, parents are children’s first teachers. |

THE SPACE WHERE YOUR CHILD GROWS DAILY. Each Escola Americana facility is carefully planned to stimulate the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth of the child.
Learning activities designed and conducted by preschool specialists stimulate the joy of discovery and at same time, key skills are being developed. Knowledge is never an end in itself. Escola Americana develops individuals who think critically, solve problems creatively and who simply love learning. |

| The first teachers. |
WE TEACH YOUR CHILD HOW TO LEARN. The teacher is the guide in the learning process. She promotes the search for knowledge, stimulating, observing, accompanying and evaluating the development of each student, step by step.
The teacher is also the link between Escola Americana and parents. School and home are co-participants in educating children. |

FROM THE LIBRARY TO THE GARDEN, THE SCHOOL IS YOUR CHILD'S WORLD. Escola Americana is a microcosm where your child explores the world through a comprehensive and interdisciplinary program. Imagine learning about the environment in a gardening class. About social responsibility in a cooking class. Or being exposed to geography and history in a capoeira class.
In addition to the Full-Day Program from 8:00 to 2:30 p.m., extracurricular activities are offered from 2:45 to 5:00 p.m. |

AT ESCOLA AMERICANA, LEARNING ENGLISH IS NOT ONLY AN OBJECTIVE, IT IS A CONSEQUENCE. The language of Escola Americana is English. Even before being able to read, the child begins her school life in a system of total immersion in English.
Upon graduation from Escola Americana students are awarded the American and Brazilian diplomas (for Brazilian students). Students may also opt to for the International Baccalaureate Diploma, recognized by many universities worldwide. |
