The Cross Divisional Curriculum Meetings facilitate discussions across divisions about content, instructional strategies, and assessment for learning. These groups are facilitated by teachers who sit on the Cross Divisional Curriculum Committee. Currently, each group has identified a SMART goal to move the work of the school forward. Please refer to the Action Plan to see the goals that are in progress now. As each SMART goal is reached, teachers will shift their focus to one of the following topics: Assessment for Learning, Differentiation of Instruction, developing unit plans using a model of backward design (Understanding by Design) or mapping the curriculum in Rubicon Atlas. In January of 2008, each division will work in groups during in-service days to continue school wide understanding and ensure continued professional development that enhances student learning. |
