We would like to welcome all our parents and students to second grade!

This webpage was created for you. You will find lots of information about school, classroom activities, and more. If you have any questions or ideas to share, please let us know. We are looking forward to working with all of you this year.
 
In second grade, we view homework as a mean through which students begin to develop responsibility. Parents are required to initial their child's agenda each evening, indicating that they are aware of the current assignments and have received enclosed notes regarding special events.

Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. Homework related to Portuguese is assigned Mondays and Wednesdays, and Tuesdays and Thursdays are reserved for other subjects. Your child is encouraged to read every day for 20 minutes.

On Mondays, you should look for the spelling and vocabulary lists of the week. Your child will have a spelling and vocabulary test on Fridays.
