KINDERGARTEN AND FIFTH GRADE ARE
SCIENCE BUDDIES
Our Kindergarten and Fifth graders are
Science Buddies!
This morning Fifth Grade came to Kindergarten to share some electricity
experiments. It was fun to see them rubbing a balloon and then picking
up pieces of paper.
Then it was Kindergarten's turn to share their science experiments with
magnets. We had five centers and the children took turns rotating
through each center.
It was a great experience that the children enjoyed!
On this picture two fifth graders and two kindergarten children take
turns counting how many paper clips this magnet can hold.

On this center children had to
create a scene with different magnetic shapes.

Can we hide magnets inside the sand
and find them easily?
Some magnetic balls were hidden
inside the sand and the children had to figure out how to find them
without touching the sand.

 |
Magnetic and Non-Magnetic
Objects
The children had to sort and
record all the magnetic objects and the non-magnetic objects they could
find from inside a basket.

Magnetic
Transportation?
Running out of petroleum in the
world? This is a new solution for transportation. Magnetic cars run on
magnetic streets. Even trains could use this same
solution!
