Meet Ms. Elisa!
| Kinder International Show! |
Ms. Elisa's practical and theoretical focus is on how music can improve
children's learning process. Her vanguard approach combines teaching
strategies from Music Therapy with methods and approaches to music
education. Her objective is to nurture children's growth. One of her
goals is to structure musical activities so every child is an equal and
successful participant in sound creation and re-creation in a place for
discoveries and music making.
After receiving a degree in Music Therapy at the Brazilian Conservatory
of Music, Ms. Elisa did post-graduate studies at California State
University-Hayward in Special Education. Her monograph focused on how
music can improve children's learning. After graduating, she worked at
a district school in Hayward with children who had learning problems
and at the University Children's Center as a Music Specialist and
Toddler teacher.
Ms. Elisa has also taken classes in Early Childhood Education at Chabot
College, CA, and was awarded a Master's Degree in Education from
Framingham College, MA. She has taken Orff for Preschool at George
Mason University in Fairfax, VA, Level I at Florida State University
(FSU)-Tallahassee, Level II at FSU-Gainesville, FL, Level III at
Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, Kodály training at New
