Much Continued Success to Julia Averbuck!

Escola Americana students' talents and academic abilities are recognized by universities worldwide.  Typically our students are accepted by engineering and other technical schools, art programs, liberal arts programs, business schools and Ivy League colleges and often earn impressive scholarships.  This year our students were accepted to 40 colleges and universities in the United States, 5 in Canada, 3 in Europe and 7 in Brazil.  They received 13 conditional offers (pending IB exam results) in the UK and were offered over US$ 600,000 in scholarships. 

The story of one of our seniors deserves special mention.  Julia Averbuck applied to and was accepted to 10 universities in the United States, conditionally accepted to 5 in the UK and was accepted to 7 in Brazil.  The list is impressive and includes:  Columbia, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, University of Chicago and Yale, which she will be attending.  She was awarded the prestigious Fundação Estudar Scholarship (which was also awarded to an Escola Americana graduate from the Class of 2007).  Very few schools in the world can boast of Julia's success story.  Congratulations and much continued success to her and to her Escola Americana teachers.
