Career education is not a one-off event. It is embedded in all aspects of our work—from academic planning to university research, from self-reflection tools to individual advising. We are proud to launch Unifrog across the EARJ community starting August 2025, providing students and parents with access to one of the world’s leading online platforms for career exploration and higher education research. Through Unifrog, our families can explore global university courses, career pathways, vocational routes, apprenticeships, and much more - all from a single, student-friendly platform.

 Our relationship with students and families begins well before high school. From the moment they enter the Upper School, students in Grades 6–8 will have regular and meaningful contact with the College Counseling team. Through assemblies, advisory activities, and family sessions, we introduce key ideas about future pathways, preparing students and parents to make confident choices in the years ahead

Throughout the year, the counselors meet with students from Grades 9 - 12 to start and/or continue to develop their understanding about the university process, country specific information (overviews of multiple countries processes, costs and structure), the essay and personal statement, using research tools and organizational tools.

Starting in the 2025–2026 academic year, we aim to introduce annual university trips for Grade 9-11 students, providing first hand exposure to university campuses around the world. These visits are designed to deepen students’ understanding of global options, build aspirations, and help them make informed decisions about their futures.

Each year, EARJ hosts hundreds of university representatives from around the world. Students from Grades 9 to 12 attend sessions and fairs—with preparation and debriefing guidance from their counselors to maximize the experience.

While our annual Career Day remains a highlight—bringing together alumni and professionals from diverse fields—career guidance at EARJ goes far beyond a single event. It is present in every conversation about identity, purpose, study, and life beyond school.

Beginning in the 2025–2026 academic year, we are proud to launch the EARJ Work Shadowing Programme, offering students the opportunity to spend time in real-world professional settings, observe workplace environments, and gain insight into potential career paths. This initiative complements our broader commitment to experiential learning, helping students make informed choices about their futures while building skills, curiosity, and confidence.

We offer semesterly grade-level sessions for parents and students to ensure everyone is informed, equipped, and confident about next steps. These include country-specific guidance, application timelines, and decision-making frameworks.

University and careers guidance themes are embedded into EARJ’s Advisory Program, reinforcing self-awareness, decision-making skills, and resilience in age-appropriate ways throughout high school.
