We’re delighted to welcome you to EARJ! Here are a few helpful notes to ensure your visit runs smoothly and comfortably:
Session Format
Our students are most engaged when sessions include a short, dynamic presentation followed by an interactive Q&A. That said, we’re happy for you to shape the session in a way that works best for your institution. Just let us know your preferred format—we’re flexible!
Arrival & Access
Please remember to bring a photo ID to present at the front gate upon arrival. A member of our team or a student ambassador will be there to greet you with a friendly smile. Traffic in Rio can be unpredictable, especially when traveling between our Gávea and Barra campuses, so we recommend allowing extra time for your journey. Upon confirmation of your visit, we will exchange mobile phone numbers with you for easier and speedier communication through WhatsApp. Coming to Brazil and you haven't downloaded WhatsApp yet? Think again. According to the Pew Research Center, 90% of all Brazilian Adults use WhatsApp.
During Your Visit
We’re pleased to provide:
- Wi-Fi access
- Light refreshments to keep you energized - Beware! Brazilian coffee is strong enough to keep a small car running.
- A table and chairs for your materials
- Multimedia facilities will be available when visits include presentations
While we don’t have on-campus parking, most visitors find Uber or other car services to be the most convenient option. If coming as part of a group, hiring a van is advisable. We’d be happy to suggest a reliable car service.
We look forward to welcoming you to our vibrant EARJ community!
A Quick Note on Phone Use
In accordance with Brazilian Federal Law, all schools must operate as phone-free environments during the school day. This means that students will not have access to their personal devices during your visit. We kindly ask that you plan your session with this in mind and bring any printed materials you’d like to distribute. If you have digital content—such as brochures, links, or QR codes—we’d be happy to share these with our students and families through the College Counseling Office before or after your session. Just send them our way, and we’ll ensure they’re circulated appropriately.
