HOW TO BEGIN YOUR PROCESS
We’re excited about your interest in Escola Americana do Rio de Janeiro (EARJ)! Our Admissions Team is here to guide you through the process and ensure you have all the information needed to make the best choice for your child’s education. Our Application Process
To make applying easy and clear, we’ve outlined the steps to help you confidently navigate the process. Please ensure you have digital copies of the required documents ready before you start:
Step 1
Submit Your Application
Click on "Apply Now" to submit your online application through OpenApply.
To save time, please have the following documents ready in digital format:
- Child’s Birth Certificate
- Child’s JPEG headshot photo
- Child’s Complete Vaccination Record, including the cover page
Once submitted, you will receive a message from the Admissions Office with next steps and required academic information - proceed to Step 2.
Step 2
Upload Academic Documents & Information
For this step you will need the following academic documents in digital format to uploaded to the Open Apply platform:
Last 3 end-of-the-year report cards (if applicable)
Contact information (email) for your child's current teacher, coordinator, or school principal (depending on the grade level). Our team will guide you.
An email will be sent to the contact person to complete the EARJ Online Recommendation Form.
Step 3
Scheduling Your Meeting:
Once all documents are received, the Admissions Office will reach out to book a meeting (online or on campus). During this meeting, we’ll schedule any necessary assessments and plan a campus tour for you and your child.
Step 4
Admissions Committee Review:
Once the documents and assessments are complete, the applicant’s file will be reviewed by the EARJ Admissions Committee. After this review, we’ll reach out with a final decision and guide you through the next steps. Only full applications will be considered by the Admissions Committee.
